Dean Maddalena has received various Design Awards from the American Institute of Architects, as well as the First Place National Award from Starnet Flooring Council.
Dean Maddalena is a founding partner of studioSIX5 in Austin, Texas. He holds a Bachelors of Architecture from Notre Dame University and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan.
In addition to his focus on commercial office design, Maddalena has dedicated a large part of his career to the research and design of senior living environments. He has been a speaker at the American Institute of Architects and Texas Association of Homes & Services for the Aging Annual Convention, highlighting design trends and processes. Maddalena also designs products that address the unique needs of seniors.
